And now for something completely different...
A new segment of very non-Ren Faire-like music by Renaissance Festival artists.
This is a new segment I thought up inspired by the fact I wanted to play something different. Last night Kristen and I were at Spider House Coffee House here in Austin supporting a friend and a cool movement. Every Tuesday night, they show Firefly at Spider House. My friend Cedric of the Bedlam Bards was there playing his latest filk called “The Ballad of Joss”. It’s a rockin’ little ditty that you can download for free from our shownotes at RenaissanceFestivalMusic.com. You can’t stop the signal. The movie is out in September. Here’s Cedric and The Pine Valley Players.

- What did you think of the Pirate Show? Interested in more Specialty Shows? What kind?
- It is difficult getting the word out to many Ren Faire performers because many don’t have email. So I decided to do something to reach those folks. I created some Renaissance Festival Podcast business cards that you can download, print, and hand out to your favorite Ren group. The cards have our contact information so they can easily mail us CDs. Download PDF Business Cards to Print and Hand Out.
- Special thanks to Faires.com for listings, RenaissanceFestival.com for their discussion groups, RenRadio.com, and RenSites.com which allows you to host your Ren Faire pictures for free.
- If you want to contribute interveiws, sound bytes, or music, email me at music [at] renaissancefestivalmusic.com wih REN FEST PODCAST in the subject line. We would love to have you involved in this podcast, so please drop us a line and let us know what you think of it.
